IMPORTANT:  Directions to Black Ridge HighPoint Retreat & Winter Weather Warning

DO NOT USE GPS unless you wish to add 40 minutes to your travel time!

Take State Route 33 Southeast toward Logan Ohio.

If you are heading east on State Route 33, leaving the Columbus area, take the Lancaster bypass on State Route 33.

One you’ve entered the Hocking Hills region, take Route 180 west toward Laurelville. Follow Route 180 for 9 miles until you reach a small town named MOUND CROSSING, where you will take a right onto Clapper Hollow Road. Follow Clapper Hollow road for about 2.5 miles to the peak of the hill where it forks with NoteStone road on left. Take left onto Notestone for ½ mile, past Oak Valley Cabins. On your left you’ll see a HUGE log home on a hill with a long driveway. This is the Black Ridge HighPoint Retreat, 14738 Notestone Road.

Four-wheel drive is necessary to reach HighPoint Retreat during winter if there is any significant snowfall. Clapper Hollow Road has a very steep incline! Notestone Road is a narrow, wooded township road running along the highest peak in Hocking County.  No trouble at all for any vehicle when roads are clear...
