Final Countdown!

Just 5 more days! I don't know about everyone else, but I CANNOT WAIT!

Plan on arriving between 4 & 6pm on Friday, and keep in mind that dinner Friday is on your own. Don't forget to check the weather and plan accordingly. Those roads up to High Point are treacherous in the snow.

This post has lots of useful information, including driving directions.

Last but not least, here's a helpful packing list that Terry put together for us!  Obviously, some of this is optional, but I found it handy!

  • Food/beverages - "BYO" items plus anything you volunteered for.
  • Suitcase -- blankets, towels, snuggie, pj's/clothes, swimsuit, bathroom stuff (soap, shampoo/lotion), heater, slippers, tp/tissues (Note: all linens and bath towels are provided, but if you want an extra blanket or beach towel, pack it.)
  • Glasses -- contacts/solution, sunglasses, glasses, readers
  • Other -- table, extension cord, power strip, music/radio, ear buds
  • Laptop -- power cord, mouse, software/books, cds
  • Cricut -- power cord, mats, cartridges, jukebox, gypsy, tools
  • Printer -- power cord, paper, ink
  • Camera -- charger, memory card
  • Scrapbook stuff -- photos, tools, embellishments, paper/vellum, adhesive, idea books, paper cutter, punches
  • Games, books, DVDs, knitting, etc.

Good eats??!

I have embedded two spreadsheets into this post to help us coordinate food for the weekend. Click on MEALS or OTHER (bottom left side of spreadsheet) to switch between the two sheets. You will need to scroll up/down and right/left to see all of the columns and rows on the MEALS sheet. The far right column indicates who has volunteered to bring that particular item(s). Please note that multiple volunteers are needed for some of the items.

The second sheet is titled OTHER and includes miscellaneous things we will need. Again, volunteers will be indicated in the right hand column. "BYO" is a "bring your own" item.

Any cell highlighted in RED is taken care of and no additional volunteers are needed for that item.
